    Many people every year make their way into the medical field and fill many different positions. The career that would interest me the most to become, there are many openings all across the country. The average travel nurse salary per year is around 101,000 (this also depends on where youwork). Your starting salary for entering the field is around $19.44 and hour, the mid level salary is arun $34.17, and your senior level salary is $50.17 ( this will vary based on location and specialization ). Travel nursing has only been around for forty years. They are all in high demand all over the country and you are constantly moving throughout the year. Travel nurses can work nearly anywhere and under any specialty. Travel nurses can still receive the same amount of benefits a regular nurse can get.

    Many nurses can stay in one spot form anywhere between 13 – 26 weeks (that is around 3 to 6 months). Depend on what you specialize in and what’s in demand across the country you can pick where you want to work. If your shift is cut short due to low amount of patients in the hospital you will not get paid in full, however your recruiter will attempt to find you another job near your current location. You can work in the same place longer than than your 13 to 26 week period this is called a work extension.

    Travel nurses have a higher chance of getting a job in anther part of the nurse part of the medical field. Incoming nurses do need to know basic life support when they start taking the classes. The education you will need to become a traveling nurse is a Bachelor’s of science degree in nursing ( witch will take you four years ). For permanente nursing jobs hospitals are now requiring that you have a Bachelors of science degree in nursing. Registered nurses can get positions with a highschool diploma or a GED. For this pick any college that offers a degree for the subject of nursing. A RN needs about a year of working in nursing before they can travel, while BSN are sometimes required to wait two or more years of nursing before they can get a travel job.

    With this kind of job you have more personal flexibility than you would have with other jobs. Your shifts will range between five eight hour shifts, four ten hour shifts, and three twelve hour shifts. You will meet new people and fall in love with new environments than you would with other jobs. Since the travel agencies pay for your flights and your housing you will make more money starting off than most jobs. There are more physical strains there is traveling and numerous other strains with anormal nurse. You will have more overtime than most other nurses and you might work the night shift more than most. You might also have to deal with workplace violence during your shift.

    There are three main cities that I feel are the best to work in all across the country and five states that I would not mind to work in. The five states are California, Texas, Colorado, Florida, and Illinois. Houston, Fresno, and Denver are the cities that I would love to work in.You can are allowed to pick the location you work, these are the main reasons I would want to become a traveling nurse.
